Bribery Bill [HL]

The Joint Committee said that it, ""heard no persuasive evidence of a need for the domestic intelligence agencies to be granted an authorisation to bribe"." There are, of course, several Members here who may take a different view. I understood that to mean that it was on the assumption that if there was a bribe it would have to be authorised, but there was no need for the domestic intelligence agencies to be granted an authorisation to bribe. So, the position would be that there would be no bribery. That brings my contribution to an end. I beg leave to withdraw Amendment 22. Amendment 22 withdrawn. Amendments 23 to 25 not moved.
