Digital Economy Bill [HL]
I understand the point about the Data Protection Act, which is why it is essential that a clause in this form exists. As the Minister rightly indicated, the intention of my amendment is to make clear that the name and address of the subscriber should not be disclosed. However, as subscribers are clearly being identified, if only by a number, it seems linguistic nonsense to say they are not. I have no doubt that the Minister and his officials will think about this.
