Proceeding contribution from Lord Best (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Friday, 5 March 2010. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Building Regulations (Amendment) Bill [HL].

Building Regulations (Amendment) Bill [HL]

My Lords, I am grateful for the support for all the amendments from all around the House, including from the Minister. It would be a very happy outcome of all the efforts made by the noble Lord, Lord Harrison, if there were an extensive review into the costs and the benefits of installing sprinkler systems. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment 1 withdrawn. Amendments 2 to 4 not moved. Clause 1 agreed. Clause 2 agreed. Bill reported without amendment.
