Proceeding contribution from Earl of Onslow (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 27 May 2010. It occurred during Queen's speech debate on Queen's Speech.

Queen's Speech

If the party had more than 55 per cent of the MPs and the Prime Minister wished to call an early election after three and a half years, all the party has to do is to get 55 per cent in the election and, lo and behold, it gets an election and the fixed-term Parliament is quashed.
