Proceeding contribution from Neil Parish (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 30 June 2010. It occurred during Debate on Energy Efficiency.

Energy Efficiency

Thank you for your advice, Mr Speaker. My hon. Friend has talked about energy saving on the continent, and one thing that they do very well there is install central boilers for different sorts of energy generation when constructing new housing developments. That must be done at the planning stage, of course, so that the amount of hot water going to each house can be metered and households can then pay for their own supply, but central boilers can produce savings of up to 50%. Will my hon. Friend the Minister consider that option?
