Proceeding contribution from Danny Alexander (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 6 July 2010. It occurred during Debate on bill on Finance Bill.

Finance Bill

I wish to respond fully to the intervention. I will come to the right hon. Gentleman in a little while. We have taken a number of measures in the Budget, such as the earnings link with pensions, with a triple lock of earnings, prices or 2.5%, which the previous Government never managed in 13 years. That is a record of which we can already be proud. I give way to the former Chief Secretary.
