Proceeding contribution from Mark Williams (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 30 June 2010. It occurred during Queen's speech debate on Legislative Programme and Budget Statement (Wales).
Legislative Programme and Budget Statement (Wales)
I share the enthusiasm of the hon. Member for Ynys Môn for an October poll. The real issue is the extent of the inactivity or the extent of the work not done before the general election. There was enthusiasm for an earlier poll, and it now seems that it will be in the spring. That would not necessarily have been the case. What is the Secretary of State’s assessment of the work that was done before the election?
