Legislative Programme and Budget Statement (Wales)

I accept the first part of the hon. Gentleman’s statement, but I do not necessarily accept the second, because Members of Parliament have a wider national role. It should not simply be to say, ““Come to my constituency because a number of us have ganged together and think it’s a good idea.”” If we are serious about cutting the deficit, we need to look, yes, at maybe moving people around if they are willing to do that, but also at making sure it is cost efficient to do so.
