Proceeding contribution from Susan Elan Jones (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 30 June 2010. It occurred during Queen's speech debate on Legislative Programme and Budget Statement (Wales).

Legislative Programme and Budget Statement (Wales)

Does the hon. Gentleman agree that if it is a ““tarian”” of anything, it is ““tarian y toriadau””—a shield of cuts? When he speaks of economists having different views, the kind of people we are talking about are, for example, the US Treasury Secretary—Timothy Geithner—who expressed such a fear at the weekend. Does he have any comment about the fact that the Business Secretary confessed only last week that the Government’s whole approach on the issue was ““a gamble?””
