Proceeding contribution from Bob Stewart (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 16 September 2010. It occurred during Backbench debate on Strategic Defence and Security Review.
Strategic Defence and Security Review
Let me begin by associating myself absolutely with the Chairman of the Select Committee, my right hon. Friend the Member for North East Hampshire (Mr Arbuthnot). I thank him for his speech, which was wonderfully delivered. We do not live in Utopia. It would be great if we did, but life is not like that. We would not need an army, a navy or an air force in Utopia. We would not even need doctors or schools. Everything would be perfect.
