Proceeding contribution from Baroness Jowell (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 13 October 2010. It occurred during Debate on bill on Superannuation Bill.
Superannuation Bill
I shall make progress. Many Back Benchers want to speak in the debate and the hon. Gentleman will have a further opportunity. We cannot support the Government new clause as drafted because it allows the Government to impose changes to the scheme at any point, without the contingent obligation to consult the work force or their representative trade unions.
