Proceeding contribution from Cheryl Gillan (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 1 December 2010. It occurred during Grand Committee proceedings (HC) on Comprehensive Spending Review.

Comprehensive Spending Review

I am going to make some progress. I note that the budget on the economy and transport by the Welsh Assembly Government will be cut by 21% over the next three years. I hope that despite that, the Welsh Assembly Government will remain committed to implementing their economic renewal programme and encouraging investment, promoting Wales as a place to do business, developing the skills base and encouraging innovation. They will have my support if they continue to do so.
