Comprehensive Spending Review
What happened in 1991 was a direct result of the steps that had to be taken to clear up the mess left in 1979, which is exactly why Tony Blair, in his excellent and interesting biography—I recommend it to hon. Members—made the point that he had to accept that a lot of what Mrs Thatcher did was absolutely right.
