Comprehensive Spending Review
My hon. Friend makes a valid point. The problem with the creation of the coalition is that it has left our Welsh people confused about what the Government stand for, because of the nature of the coalition. We have elections next year, and it will be up to the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats to persuade the people of Wales of the merits of the comprehensive spending review and its associated cuts. I would not want to be in their place when they have to do that.
