Proceeding contribution from George Osborne (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 15 December 2010. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HC) on Loans to Ireland Bill.
Loans to Ireland Bill
Well, I took a lot of interventions. I'm sorry about that, but there we go—there's no gratitude in this place! Let me conclude. The Government have taken action to put our own house in order. We were once seen as part of the problem; we are now part of the solution. It is in our national interest to help Ireland, and I commend this Bill to the House.
