Proceeding contribution from Stephen Pound (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 31 March 2011. It occurred during Adjournment debate and Backbench debate on High-Speed Rail.
High-Speed Rail
I shall be very brief, as I know that my hon. Friend is reaching the end of his peroration. I know that people are listening, as ever, to his words with great interest, but does he agree with Councillor Ed Rennie of Perry Vale, who says that it is ludicrous to hold the HS2 consultation that affects Perry Vale in Greenford, and would it not be better to hold it in Perry Vale? That is very much in line with what my hon. Friend said about the vast echoing distances between Wormwood and Westfield.
