Proceeding contribution from Baroness May of Maidenhead (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 23 May 2011. It occurred during Opposition day on Policing and Crime.

Policing and Crime

I am grateful to the right hon. Lady for mentioning the NSPCC, because it enables me to put the record right and quote its chief executive, Andrew Flanagan, who has said:"β€œβ€œThe Government's amendment is absolutely right. We welcome this wholeheartedly as it will make a huge difference to the safety of young people. We look forward to working with the Government as the new scheme is implemented.””"
