Proceeding contribution from Lord Tope (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Monday, 20 June 2011. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Localism Bill.
Localism Bill
I am grateful to the Minister for her offer to write, which it is hoped will clarify the situation. I might suggest that if we are all struggling a bit with what is in the Bill, perhaps the drafting is not as clear as it should be, and that is something on which we shall all have to reflect. In the mean time, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment 10 withdrawn. Amendment 11 not moved. Clause 3 agreed. Clause 4 : Limits on doing things for commercial purpose in exercise of general power Clause 4 : Limits on doing things for commercial purpose in exercise of general power Debate on whether Clause 4 should stand part of the Bill.
