244A: After Clause 96, insert the following new Clause— ““Exemption from civil proceedings for trespass brought by offender (1) Section 329 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003 (civil proceedings for trespass to the person brought by offender) is amended as follows. (2) In subsection (1)(b) at the end insert ““, and””. (3) After subsection (1)(b) insert— ““(c) at the material time, the defendant was not a constable acting in the course of his duty.””””
