Proceeding contribution from Lord Hill of Oareford (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 19 July 2011. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Schools: Funding Reform.
Schools: Funding Reform
That is an extremely good question. Our approach to the pupil premium has consistently been to put it on top of other funding that is made available so that people can see very clearly where it sits and will over time be able to calculate its effect as we build it up. Our intention is that it will continue to be identified separately and go to schools, which over time will report on and account for the purposes to which it is spent. Sitting suspended.
