Proceeding contribution from Baroness Finlay of Llandaff (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 6 September 2011. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Armed Forces Bill.
Armed Forces Bill
I am most grateful to the Minister for his detailed response to my amendment. I had hoped that the words ““shall consider”” in the first part of the amendment did not create an obligation. However, in the light of what he has said, I can see that I do not have the right wording. I wish to read what he has said, possibly discuss the matter with him outside the Committee and then consider what to do. In the mean time, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment 24 withdrawn. Clauses 12 to 14 agreed. Schedule 1 agreed. Clauses 15 to 23 agreed.
