I agree. I am sure the torch will light up Hove and act as a beacon for the Brighton and Hove area. Incidentally, I spent some time this morning at the Meridian school in my constituency in connection with Brighton and Hove Albion's excellent Albion in the Community project. Sport has always had an ability to reach across barriers and to communicate in a way that few things can equal. It is able to resonate with people of all ages. I welcome that aspect of the games, and of the funding that we are discussing.
