Proceeding contribution from Danny Alexander (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Monday, 16 April 2012. It occurred during Debate on bill on Finance (No. 4) Bill.

Finance (No. 4) Bill

I shall finish my response to the previous intervention before gladly taking another one. By far the largest measure in the Budget was the £3.5 billion tax cut for people on low and middle incomes through the largest ever increase in the income tax personal allowance—a massive support to 24 million working people across the country—and my right hon. Friend is absolutely right to draw attention to it.
