MOD St Athan

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the potential effect of relocation of No 4 School of Technical Training at St Athan to RAS Cosford on (a) 614 RAF Auxiliary Squadron, (b) University of Wales Air Squadron, (c) 2300 Air Cadets Squadron, (d) Regional Rehabilitation Unit for Wales and the Midlands and (e) the Band of the Prince of Wales; and if he will make a statement.

Answer

The proposed move of No. 4 School of Technical Training from MOD St Athan to RAF Cosford will not directly affect the other units based there. However, as No. 4 School of Technical Training is the primary user of the support services at MOD St Athan, the scale of the support services provided at the site may be reviewed following the move.
