To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what steps he is taking to ensure that an agreement is reached relating to the guard guarantee on Northern Rail services.

While this dispute is for RMT and the train operator to resolve, the Secretary of State and I have made efforts to liaise with Rail North and Arriva Rail North to make sure the operator is limiting the impact of the strikes on passengers.
