To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what estimate he has made of the number of people freed from Daesh control as a result of military activity by ground forces supported by International Coalition airstrikes in (a) Syria and (b) Iraq.

The Global Coalition estimates that over six million people have now been freed from Daesh across both Iraq and Syria.
