To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, whether he has discussed monitoring the effectiveness of trophy hunting in promoting conservation with Cabinet colleagues.

There is regular discussion at Cabinet level on international species conservation issues and the illegal wildlife trade, for instance regarding the current consultation on a ban of ivory sale in the UK.
