To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what recent assessment he has made of the financial sustainability of CarillianAmey.

The Ministry of Defence remains protected by the Joint Venture Parent Company Guarantee/Indemnity Insurance in place for CarillionAmey. If in the future the contract is novated this will be subject to separate financial control checks.
As part of the Department’s contingency planning work a scrutiny of Amey's financial standing was carried out by Price Waterhouse Cooper, and no concerns were raised. Amey's parent company Ferrovial are providing financial backing to their contracts.
