To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether any people working on Operation Pelican were based within his Department's premises.
- Answer

Operation Pelican was led by the Metropolitan Police. No Foreign and Commonwealth Office officials were directly assigned to work on Operation Pelican. During this time, officials in my Department continued to manage the diplomatic relationship between the UK and Ecuador.
