F-35 Aircraft: Procurement

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what estimate he has made of the additional cost to the public purse of the (a) logistics, (b) training and (c) infrastructure related to the procurement of the F-35A compared to the F-35B.
- Answer

When procuring new platforms, all elements are assessed, including affordability, to ensure that the UK’s capability requirements are met. Future procurement for F-35A aircraft will be outlined in the forthcoming Defence Investment Plan.
