Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment she has made of the potential impact of rail ticket prices on commuters travelling from Fleet, Winchfield and Hook to London.

Answer

The Department for Transport has not made a specific assessment of the impact of rail ticket prices on commuters travelling from Fleet, Winchfield and Hook to London. However, the Department considers the impact of fares on passenger demand, affordability and travel behaviour through its wider rail appraisal and analysis processes when informing rail policy and fares decisions.
