Civil Servants: Conflict of Interests
- Question
-
To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what steps were taken to avoid conflicts of interest for ISC civil servants in relation to reviewing redactions to the response to the Humble Address on Lord Mandelson.
- Answer
-
I refer the Hon Member to the Government’s statement and release of information on 1 June 2026 in response to the Humble Address and in particular to the Methodology section. Any papers deemed prejudicial to national security or international relations were referred to the ISC, and it was for the members of the committee alone to consider these.
