Civil Servants Redundancy

Question

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the Answer of 16 April 2026 to Question 122717 on Civil Service: Redundancy, and to the Annex 6F document, in what circumstances does his Department apply an employer top up to pension for a mutually agreed exit.

Answer

Government Departments have the option to offer an employer top up to pension for a mutually agreed exit. The Cabinet Office has the discretion to offer this on a case by case basis.
