Chinook Helicopters: Accidents

Question

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether his Department (a) currently holds and (b) previously held any documentation relating to the Chinook ZD576 which crashed on 2 June 1994.

Answer

The Cabinet Office has conducted an extensive search of The National Archives (TNA) search engine, Discovery, and their own records and can confirm that the records relating to Chinook ZD576 that it still holds are in the process of being transferred to The National Archives.

Our thoughts and sympathies remain with the families, friends, and colleagues of all those who died in the Mull of Kintyre crash.
