The Government believes in the power of grassroots sport, and is committed to supporting grassroots clubs, which are important for communities across the country.
Our Arm’s Length Body, Sport England, annually invests over £250 million of Lottery and Exchequer funding to promote grassroots sport and physical activity.
We have also committed £400 million into grassroots sport facilities, and we are working closely with the sports sector and local leaders to develop plans for this investment.
