Israel: Palestinians

Question

To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the report by Human Rights Watch A Threshold Crossed, published on 27 April; and what plans they have to raise the issues in that report with the government of Israel.

Original answer

We are aware of the Human Rights Watch report released on 27 April and will review the findings.

The UK continues to engage with the Israeli government on human rights issues in the context of the occupation. The situation on the ground demonstrates the urgent need to make progress towards peace. We will continue to support human rights scrutiny in Israel and the OPTs, and support Palestinian self-determination.
