These regulations were made in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 27(1A)(a) of Council Regulation (EC) No 1005/2008, Article 15(6A) of Regulation (EU) No 1380/2013, Article 4(2) of Regulation (EU) 2017/1004, Article 11(1A) of Regulation (EU) 2018/973, Article 13(1A) of Regulation (EU) 2019/472, and Article 15(2A) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1241, as retained in UK law from section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.
