Mr. Pike: To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many (a) doctors and (b) nurses on average were employed in (i) 1997 and (ii) the last period for which figures are available in (A) East Lancashire Acute Trust and (B) Burnley General Hospital; and if he will make a statement.
