G8 Summit

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for International Development which of the recommendations of the Commission for Africa were met in the communiqué of the recent G8 summit.
Answer

G8 Heads signed up to all of the major recommendations set out in the Commission for Africa report that are relevant to their countries. Further information can be obtained in the document entitled ‘The Commission for Africa Report vs. the Gleneagles Communiqué on Africa', copies of which I have arranged to be placed in the Libraries of the House.
