University Places

- To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, how many full-time undergraduate places have been funded in Queen's University Belfast and the University of Ulster in each of the last five years.

For 2005–06 11,724 places were funded in Queen's university Belfast and 13,578 at the university of Ulster. Those figures show an increase of almost 1,800 places in the period in question. I shall give the hon. Gentleman a complete breakdown of the figures over the years and place it in the Library.
