- How many contracts have been awarded to polytechnics in the UK by the US Dept of Defense for research in support of the strategic defence initiative; how many subcontracts have been awarded to UK polytechnics by existing SDI contractors in the UK or abroad; & list all polytechnics which are or have been involved in SDI research & state the value of each contract.
