Stabilisation Aid Fund

- To ask the Secretary of State for Health pursuant to the answer of 23 February 2009, Official Report, column 40W, on the Stabilisation Aid Fund, whether the £15,350,000 transferred to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is counted for the purpose of the calculation of total expenditure on overseas development assistance; and if he will make a statement.

I have been asked to reply.The Stabilisation Aid Fund, amounting to £73 million in 2008-09, is required to spend £58 million on Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) eligible activities. Money transferred to the FCO at Spring Supplementary Estimates (SSE) was based on estimated forecast expenditure across a portfolio of projects, a high proportion of which include ODA-eligible activity.
