Royal Mail

- To ask Her Majesty's Government whether the Royal Mail's parcel business, including General Logistics Service, is to be taken over by any private investor in the Royal Mail.

The Government are looking for a strategic partner for Royal Mail. It is expected that any sale of shares would be at the Royal Mail Group Ltd level. Royal Mail Group Ltd incorporates Royal Mail standard parcel and Parcelforce Worldwide services. GLS is a subsidiary of Royal Mail Group Limited and will be considered in that context in negotiations with potential partners.
