- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what estimate he has made of the total cost to his Department of the operation of HMS Ark Royal in 2010.

Operating costs are accounted for by financial year (FY). The operating costs for HMS Ark Royal for FY 2010-11 totalled £35 million, this includes pay and allowances, fuel, stock, and port fees.
