Answer

Mrs. Roche: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the estimated total cost (a) to business, (b) to businesses with under 100 employees and (c) to businesses with under 10 employees of reprogramming computer software to accommodate new P60 and P14 forms. [5441] Mr. Jack: [holding answer 25 November 1996]: Costs arise only where employers choose to use substitute forms in place of the official versions which are supplied free of charge by the Inland Revenue. Although we do not keep the information in the form requested we feel that, overall, costs are negligible.
