- What discussions have been held with NATO allies on conditions considered necessary for acceptance of proposal made by Fleet Admiral Vladimir Chesnavia, Commander-in-Chief of the Soviet Navy, that Soviet Union & US cut their naval forces in the Mediterranean to 15 warships & 10 support vessels for each side.
