What was the revenue received from air passenger duty at (a) the lower rate and (b) the higher rate on traffic in and out of the Scottish Isles in 1995-96. - Inc fact that Customs' estimate is (a) for the lower rate of £5, about £3 million and (b) for the higher rate of £10, less than £1 million. (Holding answer 28 February 1997).

Mr. Connarty: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the revenue received from air passenger duty at (a) the lower rate and (b) the higher rate on traffic in and out of the Scottish isles in 1995-96. [17944] Mr. Oppenheim: [holding answer 28 February 1997]: Customs' estimate of revenue received from air passenger duty on flights in and out of the Scottish isles in the financial year 1995-96 is (a) for the lower rate of £5, about £3 million and (b) for the higher rate of £10, less than £1 million.
