Question: Statement on publication of proposals for the treatment of pension rights on divorce. - Inc ref to White Paper "Pension rights on Divorce" (Cm 3564) in the Library.

Answer: Sir Roger Sims: To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will publish his proposals for the treatment of pension rights on divorce. [18137] Mr. Lilley: The Government published a Green paper on this topic in July 1996. We promised that, following the consultation period, a White paper would be published in the spring. I have today published the White Paper "Pension rights on Divorce" (Cm 3564). Copies are available in the Library.
