To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, how much tax was raised in each year since 1997 from (a) the sale, maintenance and repair of motorcycles and related parts and accessories, (b) the sale of motor vehicle parts and accessories, (c) the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and (d) the sale of motor vehicles. - Including table.

Mr. Bercow: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much tax was raised in each year since 1997 from (a) the sale, maintenance and repair of motorcycles and related parts and accessories, (b) the sale of motor vehicle parts and accessories, (c) the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and (d) the sale of motor vehicles. [14012] Mr. Boateng: The estimated amount of VAT raised from the maintenance and repair, including parts and accessories, of motor vehicles and motorcycles since 1997 is: _________________________________________________________________________________________________. It is not possible to estimate the Government's income from VAT on the sale of motor vehicles and motorcycles except at disproportionate cost.
