Question: To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, if he will list the number of Inland Revenue employees by UK region, indicating the wage cost (a) in total and (b) by region for 1998-99, 1999-2000 and 2000-01 and separately identifying the costs of London allowances and weighting. - Ref to Cabinet Office publications Civil Service Statistics 1998 and 1999 and the Cabinet Office news release of 29 November 2000.
